For Teachers

A geography companion for the classroom.

Hand-drawn mazes for every U.S. state, plus D.C. and Puerto Rico. Designed for independent station work, early-finisher activities, or whole-class warm-ups during state and geography units.

What's in the app:

  • All 50 states, plus D.C. and Puerto Rico

  • Five state-specific symbols (bird, flower, tree, mythical creature, fossil, and more)

  • Geographic landmarks with historical context

  • Standard and bonus trivia per state

  • Rotating "Did You Know" facts during gameplay

  • Themed historical Adventures (currently the Lewis & Clark Expedition; more in development)

The content works alongside standard U.S. geography and state-studies units. It's not aligned to specific state standards.

A few ways to use United Mazes:

  • Independent station work during U.S. geography or state-studies units

  • Early-finisher activity that's actually engaging

  • Whole-class warm-up projected on a board, one state per day

  • Take-home extension for kids who want more

  • Substitute teacher friendly (low setup, self-directed)

The Teacher's Reference.

Cost in the Classroom.

The app is freemium on individual iPads. The free version includes five states (the Empire Coast region: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland) plus the first stage of Lewis & Clark.

A one-time $4.99 unlock opens all 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, and all six Lewis & Clark stages.

For single-iPad classroom use, the $4.99 unlock works the same as personal use.

For multi-iPad deployments, there's no formal classroom or volume license yet. If you're considering a 1:1 or shared-cart deployment, email contact@unitedmazesofamerica.com.
